READIO was created to respond where systems could not reach.

In many rural and crisis-affected communities, people face illness, hunger, unsafe water, mental distress, environmental degradation, and displacement—at the same time. READIO exists to address these challenges together, not in isolation.

Across rural Ethiopia, READIO witnessed the same pattern again and again:

• Mothers giving birth without skilled care

• Children suffering from malnutrition and preventable diseases

• Communities drinking unsafe water

• Families losing land, livelihoods, and food sources

• People living with trauma, stress, and no mental health support

Health does not exist alone.

A child cannot be healthy without food.

A future cannot exist without protecting land and livelihoods.
